The educational partnership between Chancellor State College (CSC) and the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) has facilitated the formation of the innovative Science and Engineering Education Centre (SEEC).

The SEEC partnership has enabled the Engineering Futures Program to become the hub for engineering educational pathways for primary, secondary and tertiary students.  The SEEC has aligned and allocated resources to the Engineering Futures Program allowing it to meet student needs and the core learning priorities of science and engineering in Queensland.

The Journey

Primary students from our feeder schools are introduced to the opportunities in engineering and the pathways available through the Science Engineering Technology Expo, Science and Engineering Futures Camp and the CASE initiative.

Chancellor State College students embark on a learning pathway in Junior Secondary with a unique engineering curriculum specifically targeted at the interests of the learners and their needs for success in subsequent engineering subjects. Studied as Enhanced Learning Opportunities (ELOs), future engineers in our Junior Secondary School investigate the foundation principles of engineering and the principles of flight.

Each subject has a future pathway focus, enhances higher-order thinking skills and develops practical abilities needed in this highly innovative program.

Year 10 into Year 11 is a key juncture for students whereby they can narrow their engineering focus through selecting one of our custom Engineering Learning Packages.

The College offers four learning packages, each with a clear pathway and outcome: Certificate, Technical, Core or Advanced Engineering in Senior Secondary.
