The Touch Football Academy is committed to providing students with the opportunity to pursue their interest, knowledge and skills in the area of Touch Football. Our College provides young athletes that display talent in the area of Touch Football the opportunity to participate in an exciting program that focuses on fitness related aspects, theory topics and game sense. The Program will also afford students the opportunity to acquire nationally recognised accreditations in coaching and refereeing.

Course organisation

Successful applicants will study Touch Football as one of their six subjects. During practical lessons students will focus on skills and strategies for touch football, along with strength and conditioning, speed and agility development. To enhance student pathways to further education and/or employment, student learning will also encompass important theoretical concepts such as diet and nutrition, sports medicine, exercise physiology, coaching and refereeing.

Students in Years 7–10 will have two scheduled touch football based lessons each week. In addition to the practical aspects of the game, students will be able to earn their Level 1 Referee accreditation.

As students progress into the senior school, Touch Football Academy members can pursue their interests in touch football through the Certificate III Sport and Recreation Program.

Costs

The Touch Football Academy current fee structure is available upon request. Course costs include all coaching, lectures and courses as well as physiological screening each year. Chancellor State College is a government school and therefore, academic tuition for domestic students attracts a standard Resource charge and additional levies as per individual subject areas. All excursions and extra-curricular activities incur an additional charge.
