The national Big Science Competition will be held at Chancellor State College for interested Year 7 to Year 10 students on Wednesday 17 May from 1.20pm to 2.30pm in SS block.
The competition helps students build their exam taking abilities and will earn them a certificate for their building resumes. Prizes for participation will also be up for grabs.
The exam is a 50-minute, multiple choice competition testing science knowledge, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Questions are set in real-life, contemporary contexts, making them relatable (and interesting)!
Training sessions using past exams will be available for students. Parents are advised to check their inboxes for the Big Science Competition permission form. Paper copies are also available from your Science teacher.
The cost to compete is $7 and the permission form and payment are to be returned to the office by Wednesday 3 May 2023.
