The School Chaplain at Chancellor State College provides optional services to support and care for student spiritual, ethical and emotional needs through pastoral care. The Chaplain helps students find a better way to deal with a wide range of issues ranging from bullying, family breakdown and loneliness. He / She provides a listening ear for students in crisis and for those who just need a friend.
The Chaplain provides support for staff members, parents and families in the school community.
The Chaplain also provides extra services such as
mentoring and various other programs
breakfast club
delivering meals
and may be involved in, sport or music groups, student leadership events, excursions and school camps.
The School Chaplain’s role and activities are determined by the Local Chaplaincy Committee, approved through the P&C and managed by the Principal’s delegates.
The chaplain is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
The services provided to our community through the Chaplaincy program are supported by the NSCSWP Grant, the Chancellor State College P&C and donations from churches, businesses and families. We thank you for this ongoing support.
