On a very hot steamy November night our community gathered in our brand new Gagal-ba Multipurpose Centre to celebrate another amazing year of achievements from around Chancellor State College.
We enjoyed performances from our Chamber Strings, and Wind Symphony which also accompanied Makybe G singing the national anthem. The Primary Dance Troupe performed an impressive piece “Forever young" and the Secondary Campus Dance Troupe performed a contemporary dance performance titled “Brother".
Year 12 student Megan W performed her original piece titled “Valentine's Day". Megan recently clinched the coveted first place in the Australian Society of Music Education's Senior Secondary Song Writing section.
Special guests on the night included Councillor Christian Dixon from Sunshine Coast Regional Council, Rachael Fisher from sponsor BUSY At work, University of the Sunshine Coast Regional Engagement Coordinator Jodie Russell, and Executive members of Chancellor College P&C.
