Our sporting community came together recently to recognise our incredible students' achievements in the past year across various athletic arenas.
The last few years have seen our Football (soccer) and Touch Development Programs go from strength to strength with both programs resulting in success at both state and national levels.
Football Academy
The Football academy had 18 students selected in Sunshine Coast Region teams with two students making Queensland teams based on their performances at the State Championships. This is testament to the quality of our program and the hard work of staff and students.
The Schools Premier League (SPL) is the flagship competition for school football and this year Chancellor State College finished third on the SPL ladder, with both female teams qualifying for the Grand Final.
In 2023, our boys were regional finalists. Our Under 15 girls made it through to the state finals, reaching the semi-final stage securing third place. This is an impressive achievement.
2023 has been a huge year for our Futsal teams. Our teams represented the college at the Sunshine Coast Futsal Titles, Summit Futsal Cup, SEQ Futsal Titles, Champions of Champions and the U14 QSF Cup. Notable successes were our U14 girls & U16 Boys winning the QSF and U14 boys & U19 Girls winning Champions of Champions.
The Football Academy member of the year is awarded to Matt B and Emily F (pictured below).
