Primary resource centre

Our library contains an extensive range of high quality, current and relevant print and non-print resources appropriate to the social, cultural, emotional and educational needs of our students.

The library is open from 8.30 am until 4.00pm every school day. It is also open during first break for Lunch Action activities.

  • Prep: 1 picture book
  • Years 1-3: 1 fiction book and 1 non-fiction
  • Years 4-6: 2 fiction books and 1 non-fiction

Books may be exchanged as often as required during weekly borrowing sessions, first lunch breaks, and before and after school. All students require a waterproof bag to keep their books protected. The college sells a library backpack bag that gets cited on all booklists. As an alternative, strong plastic bags are permitted. Compensation will be sought for books lost or damaged beyond repair.

Returned resources are to be placed in the Returns Box at the entrance of the Library.

Secondary resource centre

The Secondary resource centre plays a key role in the enrichment and support of the teaching and learning programs at our College.

We aim to:

  • assist students to become independent learners, informed decision makers and effective communicators

  • provide a wide range of relevant resources, services and technologies

  • promote a reading culture in the college through the judicious selection of resources and activities aimed at developing a lifelong appreciation of reading.

Staff and students are able to access an extensive, up to date fiction collection as well as non-fiction and reference materials in both print and electronic formats. We subscribe to a variety of magazines both for academic and leisure reading. Curriculum based resources in a variety of formats are available to support teaching and learning in all areas.
