Become a homestay family in 2018

As you would be aware, our Chancellor State College community is committed to an International Education Program that values diversity and commitment to being active global partners. Part of this focus embraces our development of the Japanese language program by welcoming students from Japan through study tours.

In past years, our program has been hugely successful for both the College and the broader community. For College students, the cultural immersion has provided opportunities to learn about Japanese culture, share our own culture, learn tolerance through understanding, make friends and grow in their comprehension of global issues. The experience of hosting provides learning for the whole family, embracing the support of international students in developing lifelong friendships beyond Chancellor State College.

We would like to invite families to host students from Takanawa Dai Japan, who will be at the College from 13 to 21 February 2018. There are 31 students in the group, which is a mix of boys and girls 14 and 15 years of age. The visiting school has requested double placements if possible.

If you are interested in becoming a host family to visiting Japanese students, please download and complete the Homestay Expression of Interest form and return it to the Secondary Campus office, or via email to the College International Coordinator Heidi Imbrogno.

Yours sincerely
