Mrs. Heidi Barnett is our International Student Homestay Coordinator. She organises homestay accommodation for all international students, ensuring the best match of families with students.

Each Australian homestay family is interviewed and visited by the school at their home. We work hard to ensure students are placed with safe and caring homestay families.

With the support from the school and homestay parents, international students soon become used to the different customs, climate, food and language as well as the education system. The network that surrounds these students aims to ensure integration and support throughout their experience.

Homestay accommodation provides an opportunity for international students to integrate more easily into the local community and to develop life-long friendships with their Australian host family. These experiences are not easily measurable, but certainly memorable.

A letter regarding expression of interest in hosting an international student has been mailed to all Chancellor State College families. Please return the bottom half of the form to the Office at either the Primary or Secondary Campus as soon as possible.
