The number of staff at Chancellor State College has expanded to support the school’s growth and the level of staff mobility is low. There is a dynamic mix of age, gender, expertise, special interests and skills. This diversity allows our school to cater for the range of student needs. Everyone is committed to creating a school of excellence for all.
To support teachers in curriculum development, we have introduced a Curriculum Coordination role. All teachers have the opportunity to access planning time that is supported through the school learning and development budget. All staff members have access to school based learning and development through trained school staff, as well as out of school activities. Learning and Development is aligned to our whole school focus and ensures succession planning as well as consistency and continuity. The predominant management style within the school is consultative. Everyone is actively involved in collaborative decision-making processes. Staff Development Priorities 2006 1. Laptops for Teachers Program - A Smart Classrooms Initiative of Education Queensland. In 2006, all teaching staff across the primary and secondary campuses are participating in the Computers for Teachers Program, a Smart Classrooms initiative of Educationi Queensland.
