There are seven Schools of Distance Education (SDEs) throughout Queensland. The schools offer courses for all year levels covering a range of subjects. You can find out about the subjects each school offers via their websites. You will also find enrolment and other helpful information about each school, including contact details, events lists and news.

New Child Employment Act for Queensland PDF Print E-mail

New laws have recently been legislated in Queensland, concerning the number ofhours that students may work outside of school. The revisions to the act and new laws:

  • protect school-aged children from performing work that may be harmful to their health and safety, or that compromises their mental, moral or social welfare

  • limit the hours of work for school-aged children to ensure that their studies aren't adversely affected by employment.
